Water, Sand, and Basketball

We’ve been spending a lot of time in the backyard. The weather has been great, and my resplendent wife has been busy gathering outdoor toys all week. As the week progressed more attractions were added, and tonight Avery was running between the pool, the sand table, and the basketball hoop. He’s having a great time, and it’s a nice place for us adults to relax and enjoy a cocktail in the evening. Life is good.

Thirsty.

Also thirsty.

Texas: July 4th

We spent July 4th in Texas. There was a parade in the morning. BBQ chicken for lunch followed by swimming. I don’t remember seeing any fireworks. By the time it was dark we were all very tired and ready for bed.

Texas: Swimming Edition

Last week I was in Texas visiting the grandparents. I had to work most of the week but still managed to enjoy some time in the pool. The first couple days Avery seemed somewhat indifferent about being in the water. Towards the end of the week he was having a great time splashing about and stepping off the ledge in the hot tub, knowing very well that Mommy would catch him.

Family Reunion Illinois

Lindsey had a family reunion in Illinois last weekend. We made the trip out, flying in to St Louis and driving into Illinois. It was a fun trip and I enjoyed seeing some of the places that surrounded Lindsey growing up. I also really enjoyed eating at White Castle.
Avery had a continual supply of snacks on airport days.

Grandpa Peck.

Arriving for a visit at Great Aunt Bernice’s.

At the reunion.
