Layla’s 10th

This June, our little Layla turned 10. A whole decade of her energy, her creativity, and the way she fills every space with movement and joy.

This birthday feels like a celebration of everything she’s becoming: determined, expressive, full of heart, and always in motion. Ten looks good on her. She’s bold, joyful, and ready for every new adventure this next year brings. Here’s to the dancer, the swimmer, the spark in our home. Happy 10th Birthday Layla. We love you!

Skiing

We didn’t have a great ski season this year, but that didn’t stop my family from getting out there as much as they could! Jonathan taught at Summit again, Kieron and Silas both did ski bus, and they all made lots of effort to get to the pass.

Nutcracker Performance

Layla’s performed in her dance studio’s put performance of The Nutcracker Sweets again, this year as a flower fairy. It’s so fun watching she and her friends develop as dancers! She’s in the back right in this pic.

Her company put on an additional Holidays on Broadway show after The Nutcracker

Avery and Jacob heading out on Section J of the PCT, 75 miles from Snoqualmie Pass to Stevens Pass. The moms tried not to worry too much.

They finished in three days!

Layla lucked out and got the best teacher, Mr. Harper!

Summer Swim

Kieron, Silas & Layla participated in another season of summer swim. Unfortunately, Kieron fractured his arm right before competition started and then we had our Europe trip, so his season was pretty short, but once we returned he got a few meets in. Layla and Silas made a lot of progress this season. It was fun watching all of them grow and improve.

Look at her butterfly form!
