Pumpkin Patch

On Wednesday we took Avery to the pumpkin patch to search for the perfect pumpkin. It was the same place we visited last year. Fortunately Avery isn’t old enough to feel embarrassed wearing his costume out and about, though he was a little grumpy when we first arrived. We went on a hay ride, but his favorite part was sitting on an old tractor and fiddling with the wheel and levers.

Gap Model

This picture was from a few weeks ago. What a cute little boy!

Cone #1 Mint Oreo

I’m up in Bellingham at the moment for my work. Lindsey and Avery came along with and are out and about during the day. Avery seems to be having a good time. Mommy took him to the toy store today and found some new toys (I was told there was a shortage of cars to play with). Later this evening we stopped by Mallards Ice Cream for a medicinal cone. Avery isn’t a big ice cream fan (yet), but tonight towards the end of my cone he reached out for it. Being the obliging parent, I handed it over and he proceeded to take a few bites. He might like ice cream yet!

Return to Tiger Mountain

I’m on a bit of a blogging spree tonight. Must be because the TV programing as of late has been extremely mediocre. Hehe.
Well, last night at 5:00 PM we got in the van and headed over to Tiger Mountain. We hiked it a few weeks ago and had a great time. This latest trip was also really good, though we should have started our adventure an hour earlier. At the top Avery was extremely well behaved, sitting down between Lindsey and I and munching on some graham crackers.

Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum

On the way back from the beach we stopped at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum. It’s most famous for being the home of the Hughes H-4 Hercules (aka Spruce Goose). I’m the “always-dreaming-of-flying-one-day” type, so for me it was an incredible place to visit. The H-4 is such an amazing airplane. You don’t realize how massive it is until you see it in person.
The plane Daddy would love to fly (Piper Cub).
