Here are a few pictures from the Omelette Party, which follows the Sausage Fest. The party became a tradition before Lindsey and I were born. Every year it’s pretty much the usual suspects, give or take a few.

Coffee & Mini Corn Dogs

We ran low on coffee the other day (tragic). Our favorite place to buy beans is Zoka, in Snoqualmie, which totally blows the socks off Starbucks. After work one evening we made the half-hour drive to refresh our supply, but we were really hungry, so we stopped for dinner across the street from the coffee shop. Avery ordered his first menu item, mini corn dogs and fries (which Daddy ate most of). After dinner we went to get our beans, but the door was locked… they were closed 🙁
Mmm, which one should I take next?

Glamour Puss Pancakes

Banana pancakes + strawberries marinated in Glamour Puss Pinot Noir. Topped with whipped cream. Yummy!
Banana buttermilk pancakes
(wet)
2 bananas mashed
1 cup of buttermilk
1 egg
1 tablespoon melted butter
(dry)
1 cup of flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon sugar
(method)
Mix wet ingredients. Add in dry ingredients. Don’t over mix. Cook them in a pan or on a griddle.
Marinated strawberries
Strawberries sliced up + pour 1/4 cup of pinot noir over them.
