It’s January, and here I am trying to get caught up on blogging… again. I think it will be a lot more fun to do this when I am not so far behind. It will definitely be easier to write! So expect a burst of posts this week, ’cause catching up is one of my resolutions! Here are a few pics from November:
We decided to cut Silas’ hair. I love his (and Kieron’s) long blonde locks, but frankly I just wanted to know what he would look like with short spiky hair. I was at least 90% sure we’d be growing it back out again following, but also knew we’d keep wondering if we never did it. So out came the trimmers and the scissors…
I started with a mohawk for fun, then trimmed the top to blend with the sides. Just as expected, we are currently growing Silas’ hair out, and are also glad to have our curiosity satisfied. He is adorable either way though.
My team (such a shame Harvin was traded the week after we bought Avery’s jersey). We get a lot of comments from strangers when we go out like this.
This little boy loves to chop! Whatever gets him to eat it!
Silas loves participating in Kieron’s pre-k class when I volunteer
That’s Gabby (insert dreamy voice here) on the left
Future boy band? Or duelling pianists?

Jonathan’s electrical project in the garage, wiring the generator
Playing ice hockey at a friends’ birthday party. There was also foosball, and let me tell you, it is only a matter of time before we have one in the playroom!
This is the scene we discovered the day the new bunk bed was to be delivered. The boys had been dying to get one, and then on Avery’s last night in his old bed, he got cold feet. Change can be hard sometimes, even when you’ve been looking forward to it for months.
But when he got home from school and this was set up in his room, he was thrilled!
This little piggy…
Snow!
Guess who pees in the potty now!
‘Merica!
Not the clearest pic, but here’s one of our three bear visitors on the retaining wall. They were regulars during October/November.
