In September Jonathan and I got away for a week in Mexico. It was our first time being away that long since we had Avery! We had a wonderful time relaxing, eating, playing in the water and soaking up the sun. We’re so thankful to Nana for taking care of all of the kids while we were away.
Jonathan yelping to find a good restaurant for our first dinner. I was starving and would’ve eaten anywhere! I stood in awe of him looking for the perfect meal and had to snap this pic to document it! Thankfully he found a place before I lost it! Here he is with his first margarita of the week! Cactus salad pic for Kieron My dinner – yum! Fajitas for Jonathan This spot has a tree full of iguanas I think they’re pets and that they go in at night. One evening we found them down on the ground. It looked like they were ready to come in for the night. Had a few of these over the week! The view from our balcony. Unsurprisingly he’s not a popular guy here. Truth be told, I probably spent as much time perfecting my Canadian accent as I did working on my Spanish, eh? Mandatory selfie on the main street where everyone takes selfies – the flags are beautiful! Mexican New Year Celebration We did binge watch some Game of Thrones here! Fishermen Beach of the Dead – our favorite beach. It’s not the one you can see from our room. That one has become very busy in recent years. This one is closer, but the other direction. It’s quiet, but not so much that you can’t get a margarita there. Plus you have to walk through a graveyard to get to it! The children are buried in this structure, where they leave a light on at night. Looking back at our hotel Rainy day in Sayulita We went paddle boarding on our last day in Sayulita. We both agreed it’s much harder on the coast than in a lake! All week I’d been asking Jonathan to get a fish pedicure with me. He finally agreed on our last day. His face was priceless! Those fish tickle!
