We spent Thanksgiving at Nana and Grandpa’s house in Vancouver. Old Nana was also at Thanksgiving dinner this year which, was a special treat. While she has been out to visit many times over the years, I can’t recall a time when she was here for the holidays.
On Black Friday we celebrated Christmas since we’ll be in Texas this year. Avery got a remote control car from Nana and Grandpa which was a hit.

It’s been pretty rainy here lately, so we’ve had to stay inside more than we’d like. Because we’re traveling in December, we put up the Christmas decorations early. Our neighbors probably think we’re hardcore since the tree has been lit up in front of the window for a week and a half already.

We went down to Vancouver last weekend to celebrate Nana’s birthday. Old Nana is still in town from New Zealand so we got to see her too. We went to Edgefield for a birthday dinner. The food and beer were great. Lindsey and I also spent an afternoon shopping in Portland while Avery stayed home and played.
