We went to Nana’s house over Father’s Day weekend. It worked out that Ashleigh was in town at that time as well, so we got to see her too. We forgot to get the camera out much, but did get a few cute shots of the boys.

Free sundae’s for dads at Burgerville on Father’s Day
Here are a few pics from the annual Tanner Jeans Bike Safety Rodeo. It’s a great community event born out of a local tragedy, and is also the largest bike safety event in the Northwest. We had a lot of fun, and the boys enjoyed honing their bike safety skills.

The following day, Silas and Kieron went to a birthday party at the local fire station. That makes two days in a row they got to shoot the fire hose!
At the beginning of June, we attended Kieron’s pre-k graduation ceremony and the farm school end-of-the-year carnival. There was cotton candy, popcorn, pony rides, hay rides, a bounce house, and of course the barnyard full of animals. It’s hard to believe Kieron will be a big kindergartner next year and Silas will be in his second year of preschool.
The teachers read a few lines about each of the pre-k grads. Here is they shared about Kieron: Wishes for a sleigh. Dreams about going to Hawaii. Wonders about building. Fears spiders. Likes pepperoni. Believes in the tooth fairy. Loves his Grammy. Plans to make an igloo. Wants to be a builder.
They also gave each graduate a hand trowel engraved with their name (you can see his in the teacher’s hand). Such a sweet graduation gift!

Grammy and Papa took a road trip through the western half of the U.S. last month, and they swung by our neck of the woods at the end of May. We had a fun time together! Here are a few pics from our visit.

Pizza night
We hiked the Iron Horse Trail through the Snoqualmie Tunnel. The tunnel is 2.3 mi long, and you have to go through it both ways, so it was a pretty long, cold trek for the boys, but they enjoyed it.

We took a ferry to Bainbridge Island in mid-May. We had no real plan other than to play on the beach, eat yummy food, and take the boys to an old fort and a giant playground located on the island. The time flew by so fast! It’s a good thing that’s all we had on our agenda, because we barely fit it all in before it was time to come back. Next time we may need to make it an overnight trip. It was so much fun!
