Friday Harbor & Roche Harbor

Over our anniversary, we ventured up to San Juan Island to visit Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor. It’s the furthest north we got this summer and it didn’t disappoint. We had an incredible time! I wish we’d been able to stay at Roche another night. On the way home we stopped at Fort Flagler. Here are a few arial shots we took with the drone.

We stayed at Fort Flagler again on our way home.

Walking around Friday Harbor

We saw Barbenheimer! Jonathan and I took Silas & Layla to Barbie, while Avery and Kieron went to Oppenheimer.

20 Years!

Look how fast we’re cruising!

Watching the Colors Ceremony. I love that they do this. Reminds me of coming here as a teenager.

Layla and I watched the bioluminescence in the water

Headed home – where did all the smoke come from?!

More lock traffic. Our 2nd time through the big locks.

We were hungry, which meant a stop at Dick’s on the way home.

Boeing Classic

Our friends, Joe & Ashlee, came to  visit during the Boeing Classic, which is a professional golf tournament on the PGA tour. This is our first summer living on the golf course with a  view of the 10th hole, so it was fun having company to share in the fun. Sometimes we observed from the deck, sometimes we walked the course as spectators, and sometimes we hung out at The Club. We had a great weekend with Joe And Ash!

Back at the house another day. Suki watching after Joe & Ashlee’s beta.

July

Here’s what we were up to in July. More boating, this time with the Toomey’s.

Layla did a musical theatre camp and performed a routine from Annie.

I helped my parents get their house on the market. Here are a few arial shots I took with our drone.

Back to Bainbridge

Toward the end of July, we went back to Bainbridge Island to stay at the Tyee Outstation and see more of the town. We had a great time, learned more about our boat, and got to go through the big locks this time coming back!

Summer Pullman Visit

In July we, along with Grammy and Papa, went to Pullman to visit Scott and his family. We had a great time being together cooking, talking, eating, playing ping pong and going on walks. We even looked at some houses over there for Grammy and Papa.

One day Jonathan and I took the kids to the water park
