Port Townsend

For Spring Break, we  took a trip to Bainbridge Island, Port Townsend and Fort Flagler. Here are a few cool arial shots we took with the drone.

Now the rest of the pics are in order. Here we are heading out through the locks

Near Shilshole, all happy to be in the Sound

The former owners of Everlong (then Bauhaus) spotted us and came to say hi! That’s their new boat, New Bauhaus.

Easter

Here’s a compilation of our Easter photos. We took Layla and Silas to do the egg hunt at Centennial Fields. It was kind of gross this year because the elk got in not long before and pooped all over the field, so the kids had to dodge elk poo while grabbing eggs. Yuck!

Afterward, we went to the downtown Easter event. The kids got candy filled eggs while we window shopped.

That weekend there was also an egg hunt at the pool

Avery Turns 16!

Avery celebrated a milestone birthday this year. He turned 16 and celebrated by getting his driver’s license that morning and driving to school.

At sixteen, Avery is hardworking, driven, a self-starter, and an all around good kid. He loves running, swimming and playing piano. His favorite class at school is cybersecurity and he’s also interested in sports medicine. We’re so proud of you, Avery. Happy 16th!

Jonathan had to use the car after that. He snapped this pic of Avery walking into school with his new bag.

We celebrated with a party and invited a few of Avery’s friends.

Blake Island

We took Everlong to Blake Island in March for our first overnight trip. Blake Island is about 10 miles southwest of Seattle and was a logical (and fun) place to try first. Here we are heading through the Ballard Locks.

When we came through Shilshole, we went through a sailboat race

Happy sea dog

We’re here!

The island is full of raccoons! In fact, you can’t leave ANY food out or doors unlocked, as they will come aboard and help themselves to anything they please.

The kids had a great time exploring in the dinghy

Aaargh, triscuits!

Breakfast!

We saw orcas! What a wonderful surprise!
