Summer on Everlong

We got out on the boat as much as we could this summer. We never got into salt water this season, mostly played at Lake Sammamish and went to Lake Washington and Lake Union a couple of times. I decided to lump all the pictures together in one post.

Summer Swim Team

The kids all did summer swim league on the Snoqualmie Tiger Sharks team again. Here are a bunch of pics from the season:

Visit with Uncle Brian

Uncle Brian flew back from California with us and stayed a couple days before traveling on to see Grammy & Papa and the Avery’s of Pullman. We took him to the new hydroelectric museum over by Snoqualmie Falls.

We watched the Flyover at the Boeing Classic

I loved some of the textures at the museum, so I had Layla pose for a few shots while we were there:

Newport Beach

We went to Newport Beach in early August and had a great time visiting as usual.

We did some playing at the beach.

Uncle Brad took us to City Hall and gave us the grand tour. Avery got to meet with the City Manager and ask questions, and the rest of the kids checked things out a bit more.

Playing at the beach some more – I think this was at Crystal Cove

Galatea

While we were in Newport, Uncle Brad and Aunt Julie took us up to Emerald Bay on Galatea for the day. It was an amazing way to spend the day, and neat being on the rolling waves in the trawler. The highlight was definitely having dolphins swim with us on the way back!

There’s Horsefeathers, the sailboat we’d take out later in the week.

Everyone got a turn to steer the boat

Time to jump in!
