Kieron Turns Twelve

Kieron turned twelve in May. At twelve, Kieron is still as sweet and sensitive as ever, and he still wants to be a chef or own a restaurant. For his birthday, he really wanted to make sushi for us. It turned out delicious! We love you so much, little chef!

This boy loves Aahar!

More cooking classes!

For his birthday, Kieron took a few friends to a movie and then they came back to the house to celebrate. Here he is with Liam, Ethan, Alex and Seth.

Easter

Grammy and Papa came for Easter this year. The Lotts invited us to go to the Church on the Ridge service, so we attended that.

Look what Silas won in the kids service!

Ear Piercing

Caroline and I made a big event our of getting Layla and Clare’s ears pierced. We took the girls to Bellevue to a place that does “simultaneous piercing”, meaning they do both ears at the same time. Then we went out to dinner, stayed the night at a hotel, watched movies and did a bubble bath, then went shopping at Bellevue Square the next day.

From this picture, it looks like Clare didn’t enjoy the ear piercing. What you can’t tell, and what we didn’t know at the time, is that Clare had an ear infection and that her eardrum was going to rupture an hour or so later! After that she felt much better, but poor girl!

Shopping for snacks! (See how much better Clare looks now?!)

March

One of the things I love about where we live is the diversity in our neighborhood. The boys celebrated Holi with their friends in early March

Silas and Layla after school

At one of Avery’s track meets

This bird flew into our window (hard) and was stunned. We made him a safe place to recover until he could fly away.

Subbing at the high school library is fun and has a great view too!
