Galatea

While we were in Newport, Uncle Brad and Aunt Julie took us up to Emerald Bay on Galatea for the day. It was an amazing way to spend the day, and neat being on the rolling waves in the trawler. The highlight was definitely having dolphins swim with us on the way back!

There’s Horsefeathers, the sailboat we’d take out later in the week.

Everyone got a turn to steer the boat

Boy Scout Camp

Avery and Kieron went to Boy Scout Camp at Camp Parsons this year. They had fun and did lots of activities like motor boating, fingerprinting, art, axe throwing, rifle shooting and canoe swamping.

New Sailboat

We got lucky and found a great deal on a little Hobie from Sammamish. It’s a ’92 and is about 12′ long, perfect for a little playing around on Rattlesnake Lake.

Horsefeathers

We went sailing on Horsefeathers, a 34′ Ericson, one afternoon. It was an exciting trip around the busy harbor, weaving around all the Duffy’s and other boats. An especially interesting moment came when we approached a few paddle boarders in a narrow spot and their dog decided to jump off the board in front of us. Luckily, no one was harmed!
