Silas made quite the impression at the Watch DOGS Dinner at the start of the school year. While flying paper airplanes in the school gym, he tripped and somehow managed to put a pretty big hole in his forehead! Fortunately, one of the dads nearby was an EMT, and helped with first aid. Silas was a trooper at the ER, where he got six stitches and a popsicle. Now everyone at the school knows our little guy!

Silas decided to try his hand at soccer in the fall. He had a good time, although he seemed more excited about high-fiving and hugging his teammates than he was about scoring goals – which is fine by us! Here are a few pics from the season.
At the end of summer our neighborhood got together for a shindig on the beach. We had a potluck BBQ, relay race, games, and lots of good company. Here’s the view looking back at the beach from the water:
