Memorial Day

We spent Memorial Day with our yacht club at the Bainbridge Island outstation, celebrating the holiday the way our boating community does best β€” together, on the water. Everyone decorated their dinghies, turning the docks into a lineup of flags, streamers, and creativity, and then we launched into a full parade across the harbor. Queen City Yacht Club joined the festivities, adding more energy to the day. In the middle of all the activity, we met the previous owners of Everlong β€” a fun surprise on its own β€” and learned that he’s now the commodore at Queen City. A small-world moment that made the day feel even more connected. It was a simple, classic Pacific Northwest holiday: boats, friends, community, and a shared tradition that brings everyone together. A great way to mark Memorial Day and kick off the summer season.
