It was a fun and busy Halloween this year, as usual. We had a Top Gun Pilot, an astronaut, a lion (and for a while, Cleopatra and a ninja) on our hands. There was WAY too much candy, which means there were very happy children. Fortunately, we were able to bribe the boys to donate the majority of their loot to the troops in exchange for some money and ice cream. Don’t ask me what happened to all the Almond Joy’s. 😉

We hiked through the Iron Horse Tunnel. It’s 2.3 miles long. Silas made it all the way through on foot, and got a ride on the way back. What a trooper!

During “B is for baby” week at school, Kieron’s class made rice babies that weighed the same weight as they did when they were born. Kieron’s baby lost a couple ounces in our kitchen, but is better now. Look what a proud papa he is!

We did family photos twice this year. In September, my girlfriend and fellow photographer, Jenny, came and took some photos for us in downtown Snoqualmie. Unfortunately, the first location we picked was burned down and our backup choice was under construction (as you can see in some of the pictures). In addition, the boys were, ahem, not very cooperative (major understatement).

So in October, Jonathan and I set out to a new location with the boys, a camera, tripod, and remote. The boys were better behaved, and we got some shots where all five of us are actually looking at the camera!
