We visited Grammy and Papa in August. They flew out with me and the boys, and Jonathan joined us a few days later. We spent the majority of our time in the pool horsing around. We also did a little baking, put a number of puzzles together, and played a lot of Mille Bornes (the boys’ favorite game).

Jonathan and I celebrated our 11th anniversary with a dinner date in Dallas.

Then we got a drink and enjoyed the view from this fun rooftop bar. We were tempted to go swimming, but there was plenty of time for that during the day.

Here are some pictures from our summer trip to Neskowin, Oregon. The past couple of years Avery and Kieron have spent a week there with Nana and Grandpa. This year we all went down for a long weekend with Nana. It was Silas’ first time in the ocean, and he loved it! We lucked out and got beautiful sunny weather. As you’ll see, we spent a lot of time digging in the sand and playing in the creek that leads out to the ocean.

Shortly after arriving, we walked out from the condo to the beach. No suits necessary. The boys peeled their clothes off and got messy in the sand and water!
