We Moved!

I didn’t want to say anything until it was all said and done, but we moved (YAY)! We had an offer pending on a short sale in the neighborhood since January, and it finally all paid off when we moved in at the end of May. Our new home is just a block away from where we rented for the past two years. Same great neighborhood, same fabulous neighbors, same school and bus route – and no goodbyes!

It’s been a busy few weeks – packing and unpacking, patching holes and hanging stuff, mowing, weeding, pressure washing, etc. We’re pretty settled at this point, and are enjoying the new digs.

Pumpkin Patch 2012

We went to Fall City Farms to pick out our pumpkins this year. We timed it perfectly between rain showers one Friday afternoon, and had a fantastic time. The boys had a blast playing in the hay maze and searching for the perfect pumpkins.

Salmon Days 2012

We took the boys to Salmon Days the first weekend in October. It was fun, it was crowded. A challenging place to be with three little ones, but we managed to enjoy ourselves.

Mmmmmm, honey straws!

Avery’s got another loose tooth, and is trying desperately to get it out. He was so funny eating his corn on the cob. Why turn the corn when you can tilt your head?

Jump salmon, jump!

Over the Mountains

A few weeks ago we packed the boys in the van and made the 4.5 hour (6 with kids) drive to Pullman, WA to visit Uncle Scott and Aunt Manivanh for a weekend. We had a great time visiting, but as usual, not enough time. The cousins were happy to be together and kept each other entertained. Here are a few pics from our trip:

We checked out the WSU campus, saw where Uncle Scott works, and visited the Grizzly Bears at the university

I’m pretty sure the boys were joking about bear poop here

Kieron loved digging in Uncle Scott & Aunt Manivanh’s garden

On Sunday we went to Phillips Farm and picked apples and plums

Here’s our bounty:

Blueberries!

Just before school started, we visited Bybee Farms for our annual blueberry picking family outing. We’ve gone each summer since 2009, when Avery was the age Kieron is now. It’s fun to look at our old posts and see how the boys have grown, and how their blueberry picking has evolved.

I can’t say any of them were much help this year. Don’t get me wrong, they picked plenty of blueberries, but most went in their bellies, not their buckets! Fortunately, they kept themselves occupied long enough for Daddy and I to collect a few pounds worth before Silas said it was time to go. All in all, a fun morning!
