We had a full house for Christmas this year. All the grandparents, aunts & uncles, and cousins came to celebrate with us. The last time we hosted was six years ago. Back then we were expecting Avery, and Nicole was the only youngster. It’s hard to believe four more little boys have arrived since! We thoroughly enjoyed having the family all together under one roof. It was chaotic at times, and loud most of the time (as long as the kids were awake) but it was warm and fun and festive – exactly what the holidays should be!

We took Grammy and Papa to the local brewery for dinner the night they arrived. Jonathan snapped this picture on his phone of Avery looking for my “back eyes,” as he calls them – the eyes in the back of my head.

Making Christmas cookies!

There was an ongoing joke not to eat the green frosted cookies. Avery couldn’t stop himself from tasting the frosting while he decorated.

Sleepover! Oh yeah, these kids look like they’re about to fall fast asleep!

On Christmas eve day, Silas developed a high fever and double ear infection. Thankfully, our pediatrician squeezed us in so I didn’t have to spend hours at urgent care and got to the pharmacy for antibiotics before they closed.

I was surprised Kieron got on his lap. Can you tell he was just a little excited?

Silas, not so much.

Andrew’s birthday is January 2nd, so we celebrated it at our house before they drove back to Pullman. Can’t believe he’s five already!
