Hood Canal

At the end of July we went glamping with our good friends, the Warricks, at Dosewallips State Park on Hood Canal.  We had a fantastic time together, and the weekend flew by quickly.

Staying Cool

We’ve been staying cool with lots of trips to the lake and some to the river.  In the early weeks after Layla was born, Jonathan took the boys on quite a few trips while I recovered. Lately us girls have been joining them on some of the outings. Here are a few of our favorite photos from over the summer.

James & Morgan’s Wedding

On July 16th, our friends, James & Morgan, tied the knot. James has been a friend of ours since college, when he and Jonathan rowed on the crew team together. After college, he helped us buy our first house, then persuaded me to get my real estate license, and has always lended a helping hand when I had questions. The first time we met Morgan, we knew she was “the one” for our friend, and that afternoon we all watched the Seahawks win the game that sent them to the Superbowl (the one they won).

They planned a beautiful wedding at their property in Everett. Jonathan was honored to be a groomsman, and we all had a fantastic time celebrating the happy couple!

“The lanky’s”, as they were affectionately referred to at crew. James rowed starboard, and Jonathan port.

At this point I was praying they (the boys) would keep it together. It was HOT and they were BORED! We were in the 2nd row and I was starting worry one of them would storm the ceremony – particularly this one:

Neskowin

Right after Fourth of July, the boys all headed to Neskowin to visit Nana for a few days. As you can see from the pics, they had a terrific time playing outside! I had a hard time sorting through all the cute photos (it’s so pretty there) so there are a lot to look through!

Museum of Flight

During the baby shower, Jonathan and Uncle Scott took the boys to the Museum of Flight for the afternoon. They had a terrific time and had lots of stories to share when they returned. Here they are in front of Air Force One (Eisenhower – Nixon).

Avery and Andrew tried the flight simulator and LOVED it! They spun it more than a dozen times, and apparently there were squeals of delight coming from inside!IMG_7729

Poor Silas really wanted to go too, but it looks like he has a few more inches to grow. Look at that face!
